Five days Tagtool sessions at MISK Art Fair 2019
OMAi, Dieter Puntigam and D2D hosted five days full of Tagtool performances, bike sessions and workshops at an immersive projection installation at the Misk Art Fair in Riyadh.
Josef Dorninger of OMAi, fine artist and Tagtool veteran Dieter Puntigam, and Elena Kaufmann of Egypt's D2D agency collaborated to conduct a five-day Tagtool program at the MISK Art Fair in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, aiming to bring expressive improvisational art to a local audience. An immersive projection space served as the main hub for the sessions. The team used the Tagtool bike to reach out into other areas of the festival. Mexican artist Rimiyoho contributed beautiful Tagtool content to the sessions. Despite the need to navigate cultural sensitivities, the program, which included performances, workshops with local artists, and public sessions, was met with fascination and gratitude from the audience, making for a rewarding intercultural experience.
