Hänsel und Gretel
The story of "Hänsel and Gretel" – a family concert for children ages four and older. This scenic concert takes the audience into the Brothers Grimm's fairy tale world.

This chamber music piece, commissioned from Krems-based composer Matthias Werner for the Tonkünstler Orchestra Lower Austria's "Tonspiele" music education program, tells its story entirely without words – letting sounds, images, play and movement do all the talking! Five orchestra members take their audience on a colorful adventure, telling how Hansel and Gretel overcome their fears and return home strengthened and confident. The famous fairy tale gets a fresh treatment with impressive live music and rich visuals, creating an intense atmosphere full of fun and excitement.
